Yes, ButterflyAPI offers AI video generation APIs that can create videos from images. Our video generation models can produce 5-10 second AI-generated videos from a single input image.

Terms of Service | ButterflyAPI

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ButterflyAPI's services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

ButterflyAPI provides AI-powered image and video processing APIs, including but not limited to:

Image-to-image transformation
Text-to-image generation
Background removal
Image upscaling and enhancement
Video generation
Watermarking

We also provide a web-based Studio interface for non-technical users to access these capabilities.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security of your password and API keys
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Credits and Payments

4.1 Credit System

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Different API operations consume different amounts of credits as specified in our documentation and pricing pages.

4.2 Purchases

Credits can be purchased as one-time packs or through subscription plans. All purchases are processed through Stripe. Prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated.

4.3 Refunds

Credits are non-refundable once purchased. For subscription plans, you may cancel at any time, but no refunds will be issued for partial billing periods. Unused subscription credits expire at the end of each billing period.

4.4 Credit Expiration

One-time credit pack purchases do not expire. Subscription credits reset each billing period and do not roll over.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Generate illegal, harmful, or offensive content
Create deepfakes or non-consensual intimate imagery
Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Generate content depicting minors in any inappropriate context
Harass, abuse, or harm another person
Impersonate any person or entity
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal API usage
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
Resell or redistribute API access without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by ButterflyAPI and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it as necessary to provide the Service.

6.3 Generated Content

Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you own the outputs generated by the Service from your inputs. You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with all applicable laws.

7. API Usage

When using our APIs, you agree to:

Keep your API keys confidential and secure
Not share API keys with third parties
Implement reasonable rate limiting in your applications
Not attempt to circumvent usage limits or quotas
Promptly rotate keys if you suspect compromise

We may implement rate limits and may suspend access for excessive or abusive usage patterns.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUTTERFLYAPI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ButterflyAPI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
